Kay Tien

Kay Tien is a former ballet dancer who trained under the direction of Germany's most renowned ballet names, the late Prof. Konstanze Vernon, former artistic director of the Bayerisches Staatsballet. After graduating with a Diplom-Ballett-Tänzerin from the prestigious Ballet Academy - University of Music and Performing Arts Munich, Kay turned down the opportunity to join the Bayerisches Staatsballettt II and transitioned into business two weeks later.

Since that transition, Kay has built an international portfolio representing clients in advertising, arts and design, architectural development, consumer electronics, luxury fashion, and the performing arts. With over a decade's worth of experience and expertise in marketing and strategy, Kay has led campaigns for brands such as Monster Products, Thom Browne, Hines, Red Bull, and Youth America Grand Prix, and has further represented clients at the MTV European Music Awards, Paris Fashion Week, and the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. During her time at YAGP, Kay increased dance scholarship endeavors to a database of 10K students worldwide and led YAGP's first-ever Job Fair Audition at the New York City Finals with 15+ renowned company directors.

In 2019, Kay founded Pivot Pointe with a mission to develop innovations to empower dancers in auditions, injury, and career transition. A unique hybrid of both business and dance, Kay is committed to tackling systemic issues to provide solutions that create a positive impact upon the next generation of dancers and athletes.
